Along the way, some have asked if there are ways they can get involved in what God is doing in north Oshawa. While I have hosted some events here and there - like prayer walks, neighbourhood ice cream parties, and those kinds of things - we don’t have a regular gathering or space or things that scream “church” yet.
But that doesn’t mean you can’t get involved. There are three main needs I feel right now, as we’re still in these very early stages of life for this new community of faith.
Our first need is for prayer. We are well aware that we are God’s partners in this new ministry. God is at work before us, and He is the one who will grow his church. Because of this, we are eagerly seeking those who would join us in this ministry by praying for us regularly, asking God to use us to reach this area of the city.
I view all of our prayer partners as true partners. I believe that if someone is going to pray for us, the least we can do is pray for them! If you haven’t already, I’d love for you to subscribe to this blog and receive my regular update emails, and I’d love to hear back from you ways I can pray for you and your community, too. We are all together in this mission; we must support each other! If you or others in your church would like to receive regular prayer updates from me, too, you’ll find them posted here - or you can join my prayer list to get weekly email updates, too - just email me here.
Secondly, I’d love more conversation partners! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some of you who visit this space regularly, and I’ve loved getting to know you. If you’ve been following along - whether on this blog, or through someone you know who’s had a role to play in this journey so far - please let me know! I’d love to meet you, share some stories of what God is doing in north Oshawa, and hear a bit of your story, as well. Again, to get in touch - just email me here.
And finally, we are in need of financial support. Starting new ministry requires resources. I would humbly ask you to prayerfully consider whether God would have you join the movement through providing financial support. Every gift will help to advance the gospel in Oshawa, going directly to pay for either basic living expenses or direct ministry expenses.
Donations made to this new ministry are tax-deductible, and will go through Zion Christian Reformed Church. If you do decide to contribute financially to this mission, please make checks payable to Zion CRC, with a note in the memo or attached to the cheque that the funds are for the North Oshawa Church Plant.
Cheques can be sent to:

I humbly ask you to prayerfully consider how you might get involved. I would gratefully accept any support you could lend to this ministry, in prayer, conversation and relationship, finances, or otherwise. We cannot do this alone. With your help, we will reach this city with the love and hope of Christ!
